someone had told me you don't need to use tape with plastic? is that true or do you use it just because it's better? How do you know what wire is common as you said it is normally white. I am adding a zone in my backyard and was thinking of doing myself. I do have space for an extra zone in my timer box, with extra wire but the wires are all tangled in there. i saw your wiring info so i'm going to check it out today.

Sorry to say. But you cut way to much cable off that solenoid and way to much poly pipe. Its always good to have extra poly pipe to work with and solenoid cable. But utter than that you done a great job on that and keep up the good work.
